DTS CAE-4 Encoder
The DTS CAE-4 Encoder was created specifically for audio professionals that need to encode and monitor DTS-format soundtracks and music content for DVD and CD release. The unit offers real-time encoding and monitoring, accepts six digital-format audio signals (three AES/EBU-format pairs,) and outputs a DTS-encoded bit stream via a single AES/EBU-format port.
Front-panel controls include SURROUND GAIN, TIMECODE MODE. LFE ON/OFF, DVD DATA RATE and RESET. Stereo monitoring is provided via a front-panel headphone output. Status LEDs monitor audio sampling rate and timecode status. The CAE-4¡¦s rear panel features XLR connectors for AES/EBU-format inputs and outputs, and timecode input.
A software suite included with the CAE-4 provides an easy and efficient method to verify bit stream compliance with DTS quality requirements and DVD standards. The software also verifies successful completion of the DTS encoding process.
